Mormon Church News Clip

Elders Quentin L. Cook and Russell M. Ballard from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles from our church (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints) sat down with ABC news for an interview. Click here to view the video. Many things were discussed including ordinances performed in the temple, our support of marriage remaining between a man and a woman, and polygamy. I hope this interview dispels many of the misconceptions that people have about our religion. The Mormon faith is based upon Jesus Christ (making it a Christian denomination) who we believe is the Son of God and Savior for all mankind. We believe that through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, repentance, and baptism, we can return with our families to live with Him. We believe Joseph Smith restored Christ's church ending apostasy and unsealing the heavens. God is no longer silent. He speaks with a Prophet, Thomas S. Monson and reveals many great and important truths relevant to our day. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, which is a record kept by ancient prophets here on the American continent. We believe in the Bible and the Book of Mormon are both testaments of Jesus Christ.

I know it is true, I have asked and received an answer with a confirmation from the Holy Ghost. You can receive the same witness. All you need is a particle of faith and the willingness to ask. James 1:5 reads "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." God is waiting to answer you. He hears your prayers and he know us better than we know ourselves, for He is our Father and our Creator. I testify to you that Jesus Christ lives and that you will receive an answer.

If you want to know more about the LDS church, please click here. For centuries men have wondered and asked themselves "Who am I? Why am I here? What happens when I die?" You can find the answers to these questions in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ.
