Dee Dee Doodle

I was talking to Archer today and I told him that we needed to put medicine in his eyes because I think he has pink eye. He said "I don't have pink eyes like Dee Dee." I had no idea what he was talking about until the third or fourth time he referenced this. He was talking about Dee Dee Doodle from the kid's show "The Doodlebops." I have been creeped out by this show since the moment I saw it. Archer LOVES it. Can't argue with that.

Easter

Della laughing at her brother.

My favorite part of Easter was when we were running late for church and as we were going out to the car I realized Archer wasn't with us. Don't worry though, I found him...running in the sprinklers...in his Easter clothes...*sigh*.

Easter Eggs

Archer teamed up with his partner in crime Jack to color Easter eggs. From the beginning things seemed to be working against us. For instance, I started boiling brown eggs instead of white and then I misunderstood Jack's mom when she said she had the tools to dye the eggs but no dye. Looking back on this I realize it wasn't so much the forces working against our egg dying endeavor as much as it was my not thinking. Anyway, we improvised and the boys had fun dying the eggs and to our delight, it went a lot better than last year when their 2-year old attention spans lasted no longer than 30 seconds.

Archer decided his hand was a lot more efficient than any of the tools we had.

The boys took this whole egg dying experience very seriously.

Look Mom!

I was excited that our lilies were blooming (since it only happens once a year) and I wanted to take a picture of us in our Easter clothes like last year. OK, so you can't see any lilies in that picture, but that is beside the point. Archer has slowly killed the lilies by either trampling on them while playing in the 'jungle' that is our front planter, or he has picked the flowers to give to me. How could I get mad?

Della Belle's Blessing

Today we blessed Della and it was a really wonderful experience. We did it at home for various reasons, and I am really pleased with the intimacy of it. We were able to be surrounded by family and friends and I couldn't ask for more. I appreciate everyone who came, it meant a lot to our family to have you there. A special thanks to those who brought food, chairs, etc.

Four generations.
